“You shall not covet”
Exodus 20:17
The structure of the tenth commandment shows the need for contentment. Let us be thankful for all that God has gifted us. Coveting and comparison will only lead to despair and sin. The command “do not covet” stands as a corrective against the particular human tendency to want more and more.
