“You shall not commit adultery.”
Exodus 20:14
The seventh commandment instructs us in marital faithfulness. Husbands and wives should cling to one another and remain faithful to each other throughout the entirety of their lives. The marriage of a man and a woman is sacred in the eyes of the Lord and should be honored by all and sanctifying for the wife and the husband.
Adultery destroys. It wrecks marriages, families, communities, and can even affect churches. God’s people are called to a higher standard that honors marriage and the home.
